Description:
The hat with a diameter of 5-15 (20) cm is hemispherical, pillow-shaped, dry, matte, velvety, later - smooth, chestnut-brown, red-brown, black-brown, with a light edge, darkens when pressed.
The tubular layer is yellow-olive, later - red-orange, turns blue when pressed.
Spore powder olive brown.
The stem is 5-10 cm long and 2-3 cm in diameter, tuberous, barrel-shaped, later thickened towards the base, yellow-red with spotted small dark red scales, specks, solid or full.
The flesh is dense, fleshy, bright yellow, in the leg - reddish, quickly turns blue on the cut

Poddubnik grows in August-September (in the south - from the end of May) in deciduous and coniferous (with spruce) forests, rarely in the middle lane
