Grows in deciduous forests, gardens, squares, parks, orchards singly or in groups from June to September. Found in Karelia, Murmansk region, Ukraine. This mushroom has not yet been found in the middle lane.
The cap is up to 20 cm in ∅, initially convex , white, then prostrate , with a large tubercle, yellowish, gray-brown, slightly sticky, later silky . The pulp is thick, white , brownish under the skin of the cap , in young mushrooms with a flour smell, in mature ones the smell is unpleasant. The plates are weakly adherent to the stem, rare, wide, almost free, whitish in young mushrooms, and with a pinkish-meaty tint in mature ones.
Spore powder pink. The disputes are angular.
Leg 4-10 cm long, 2-3 cm ∅, bent, dense, white, silky-shiny.
The mushroom is poisonous . Causes severe intestinal upset when eaten.
